

PARENTING CLASSES
Our Parenting Classes offers several options for group based parenting classes for the community in a variety of areas that can be utilized for parents seeking to obtain parenting skills or for those who may have mandated parenting education needs. A certificate is awarded upon completion of each class. Utilizing topics from the Relevant Parenting Curriculum, skilled facilitators-led group meetings, which allow parents and caregivers to discuss the unique issues they are experiencing.

The 7 Habits of A 24/7 Dad ™
This fatherhood program consists of 8, 1-hour sessions that combine fundamental fathering principles with Franklin Covey’s timeless 7 Habits. This activity-filled program guides men as they adopt and apply seven helpful habits that will revolutionize their fathering skills and help them connect with their kids.
Talking With Mom™ Session
This workshop consists of 3, 1.5-hour sessions to help fathers become better communicators with the mother of their children by learning about communication patterns, creating a safe environment for effective communication, and developing effective listening skills.


Mom As Gateway™ Session
This One Day workshop helps you break down barriers between mothers and fathers by addressing what is known as Maternal Gatekeeping - when a mother’s beliefs about a father, as well as her behaviors, hinder a father's involvement - and facilitate helpful discussions and efforts towards co-parenting.
“Table Time” Group Parenting Sessions – New Initiative
“Table Time” is a series of groups, workshops, and presentations for parents, grandparents, foster parents and caretakers of children and youth that are involved with social service and child welfare agencies and programs. The groups will be held at the Family Resource Center on the 3rd Tuesdays from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm.
